It's just another day fighting crime for Los Angeles Police Department
detective Thompson, played by Louis De Alto (Rocky 5 and Oscar) and his
partner O'Neil when they are assigned the high profile and politically
embarrassing case of investigating the violent car jacking of the
Police Commissioner's car.
Manny Gamino, played by Stephen F. Card well, is the head of an
organized crime syndicate specializing in the theft of expensive exotic
automobiles. Mannv has successfully operated a non-violent car theft
operation until his drug addicted nephew. Joey, portrayed by newcomer
Bryan Everett. is released from prison and comes to work for him. Joey
decides that car jacking is the faster method of stealing cars and he
and his friend Anthony unknowingly car jack the Police Commissioner ‘s
car. Manny's operation is now in serious jeopardy because of Joey s
stupidity. Joey is told by his Uncle Mannv to take care of the problem
or he will be sacrificed to the police. Joey is terrified of returning
to prison. In a drug crazed act, a wired Joey murders his accomplice
Anthony and disposes of the commissioner's car.
Thompson s number one informant and sometimes girlfriend Lorna. played
by active Whitney Weston (Lethal Cowboy) is all exotic dancer at a
Hollywood club crime figures including Joey, who has been known to brag
to the girls about his crime adventures. Thompson learns from Lorna of
Joey - involvement in the car and arrives at the club lust as Joey is
physically forcing Lorna into his car as a hostage. Thompson chases
Joey through the streets of Los Angeles loses him when Joey switches
cars.
Desperate for money to get out of town and avoid arrest, Joey murders
his Uncle Manny and decides to steal money from the mob during a money
transfer which is to occur at his Uncle’s junk yard. Thompson, hot on
Joey s tracks arrives at the junkyard and finds himself in the middle
of a major gunfight between Joey and the mob. In the confusion, Joey
escapes with the money and Lorna with Thompson in hot pursuit.
In an action packed story from beginning to
end, Detective Thompson discovers that the most routine assignment can
turn into a life threatening adventure.
