Three young couples meet once a year for a social weekend to celebrate the unusual occurrence of all having birthdays on the same day ...... that is...three young couples and one nympho younger sister ! But this year new and mysterious forces confuse the atmosphere. Brian, the host, climbs upon the dinner table the first night, and succumbs to a debilitating revelry, upon which Amy, his wife, apologizes profusely, explaining that he has become an intermediary for channeling. It seems that he becomes a famous old saxophonist well known and fondly remembered by his fans. The reactions of the guests range from disbelief to intrigue to outright contempt.

Meanwhile, Brian (King Louis) begins to influence each of them, causing each to reveal their most negative characteristics, to express and impose their hidden anger and hitherto suppressed emotions. What started as a simple social weekend quickly turns into an avalanche of human terror, with each couple tearing away their masks edged on by an equally driven younger sister.

After a series of climactic showdowns they each begin to sense that there is an outside force at work ..... that friend Brian really has been messing with them! They all take off in a frenzy only to find that as they drive away with their mate, the anger and frustration each felt has vanished. They return to the house to look for Brian, their apparent redeemer, only to find that he is about to drown himself in the ocean. They race to save him ...... they can't find him in the crashing surf....they may never know whether it was Brian or King Louis who changed their lives so dramatically.
